14 things that I learned from the book "Life is what you make it" by Preeti Shenoy

1. Sometimes decisions that are taken in the nick of a moment,  without giving much thought to them, have the power to affect your whole life events that follow.

2. Feelings are powerful and logic is often crushed under its weight.

3. Nobody would be able to understand the depth of your joy and the extent of your sorrow unless they themselves go through it.

4. Life is indeed unpredictable and it is true that anytime, it could take a sudden unexpected turn.

5. Love and time are the greatest gifts one can receive in life and we should never take it for granted, never. Once we lose it, we may never get it back .

6. Life is too precious to not do the things one wants to.

7. True freedom begins when you stop caring of what the world thinks of you, anymore.

8. Sometimes, we do not appreciate fully what we have unless we lose it. So value what you have today, before it's too late.

9. Life can take a totally different path from what is planned and yet one can make a success out of it.

10. The world is indeed a better place where there is love, friendship, acceptance and hope. Powered by these, you can indeed overcome anything, including destiny.

11. Success is inevitable, when you are damn sure of what you want in life.

12. Never be arrogant of your abilities, you never know when life snatches it all away from you.

13. You must love your job so much that you would not give it up for anything else in the world. If this is not the case then probably you have not yet arrived at the right place.

14. It's better to live a life that belongs to you, whether you are successful or not.
